Joey O'Brien
The forgotten man?

Seem's to have just been ignored as one of our players altogether? whats going on here? Even the injury updates on the official site don't mention him anymore.

Re: Joey O'Brien
Obviously well liked, but I can't see any use for him.

Plenty of CBs, two full backs on the left, one natural and one stand in for RB (although I'd like to see Knoyle given a chance) and a plethora of centre mids that he's surplus to requirements.

Wonder if Sam will go for him in Jan. Useful utility player but we've moved on

Re: Joey O'Brien
Let him go if there's anyone keen, not going to feature under Bilic.

Good pro, but we should be doing better now.

Re: Joey O'Brien
Was always a squad player so now as we've got better players in he slips further down the pecking order.

Served a purpose but time to move on.

I'll tell you something for nothing, I'd start him over Jenkinson at the moment.

He looks like Bolty, no coldness here.

Pagey 3:16 Mon Jan 4
Re: Joey O'Brien
He was a good signing for us at the time but the squad is now stronger and we'd need a lot of injuries and loss of form for him to get anywhere near the first team.

He would be a great signing for a club fighting relegation and looking for a dependable utility player on the cheap. I suppose it depends on if he wants to leave or if he's happy seeing out his contract?

Cheers ED.

In future however, could you be so kind as to tell us nothing for nothing?

Many thanks

Re: Joey O'Brien
He's been told he can leave the club with his contract up in the summer on a free and isn't going to be offered a new deal, however he's injured so will be at the club in all likelyhood until the summer.

In future, I'll just cut and paste stuff from Sickepedia for some BANTER & LAUGHS.

Perfect for Villa when fit, in either the Prem or next year in the Champs

Re: Joey O'Brien
If Tomkins and Jenkinson got injured then he may get a look in. Apart from that then no other use for him.
